WoBEM Summer Kickoff 2024

Our programming is offered to individuals with a demonstrated commitment to the advancement of women in medicine. We recognize and acknowledge the intersection of race, gender, and other identities, and it is our hope that we can provide programming that is inclusive and accessible to all.

Upcoming Events

January 22, 6-9p: Our inaugural book club and dinner, hosted by Dr. Rachel Libby! We will be discussing The Education of an Idealist: a memoir by Pulitzer-prize-winning author Samantha Power. Read the NY Times review here. 
 
February 4, 6-9p: We will be hosting guest speaker Rachel Silverman, MA LMHC, sleep therapist and owner of RI Sleep Therapy where we will learn about what inspired her to specialize in sleep disorders and treatments and what order we can hope to bring to our chaotic circadian shift work schedule. Venue TBD, pending number of responses. 
 
March 9, 1:45-3:45p: You guys... CURLING. Can you feel my excitement about this? Smithfield Arena, just us, the ice, a couple of rocks, sweeping, and competing our hearts out. Team WoBEM, let's goooooooooo! 
 
April 23, 6-9p: Our inaugural podcast club, hosted by Dr. Gita Pensa, creator and host of "Doctors and Litigation: the L word"
