Medical Simulation

The Department of Emergency Medicine's High-Fidelity Simulation Division provides innovative, experiential learning that prepares healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional emergency care. Using advanced patient simulators, realistic clinical environments, and expert debriefing, our program enhances clinical skills, teamwork, communication, and patient safety.

Our mission is to improve emergency care through innovative simulation-based education that advances clinical excellence, promotes teamwork, enhances patient safety, and develops the next generation of emergency medicine and pediatric emergency clinicians and educators.

We offer high-tech facilities, expert staff, and the most realistic training environment possible.

The rapid rate of information growth, increased demands on physician educators, and patient safety concerns have created a challenge to the present model of hands-on training for health care personnel. High fidelity medical simulation offers numerous benefits for patients, trainees, as well as educators, and is becoming an integral tool in the future of medical education.
