Program Overview and Mission
The Rhode Island Injury Prevention Research Fellowship is a non-ACGME research fellowship grounded in the mission of training talented physician researchers who are driven to make meaningful advancements in injury control through collaborative research, implementation science, advocacy, and community-based partnerships. Fellows are graduates of emergency medicine or pediatric residency programs or pediatric emergency medicine fellowships and work clinically at the emergency departments affiliated with Brown University Health.
Sponsored by the Brown University Health Department of Emergency Medicine and the Rhode Island Injury Prevention Center, our one- or two-year research fellowship offers a rich array of research and clinical opportunities, robust interdepartmental collaboration, and mentorship in all key domains of Injury Prevention Research.
Upon completion of the fellowship, graduates will be prepared for an academic career with a dedicated focus on injury and violence research.
The fellowship offers a very competitive salary and benefits package.
